1. Scope of   Application

   This device is applicable to soft starter of 6-35KV motor in order to lower start current and reduce the impact to power grid. This device is widely used in such industries as steel, coal and chemical engineering, etc.

3. Working Principle

YMRQ type magnetically controlled soft starter device is composed of reactor, power electronics converter and controller. Based on intelligent control of the electronic power converter, it can change the reactance value of reactor continuously, and the voltage and current of reactor is changed, so as to change the motor voltage and realize soft start of the motor.

4. Technical Innovation
    4.1. Structure: new secondary winding is designed to realize conversion of high voltage to low voltage;

  4.2. Connection: seamless connection of power electronics converter and secondary winding;

  4.3. Isolation: isolation of high and low voltage, no flux leakage;

  4.4. Smooth: Continuous adjustment is realized in impedance conversion.

5. Characteristics

  5.1. Start current is adjustable to reduce the impact of motor start on power grid when started; prolong service life, reduce maintenance times and save costs;

  5.2. Stable performance, good repeatability of start; continuous start supported to realize one-drag-N start;

  5.3. Novel topological structure, intelligent control system and easy operation;

  5.4. Friendly HMI;

  5.5. Magnetic shielding technique is adopted, no flux leakage;

  5.6. Soft start/stop supported.

6. Start Mode

  6.1. Ramp voltage start: adjust the conduction angle of thyristor to increase it with the time at certain functional relation, current closed-loop control not available.

  6.2. Slope constant current start: the start current at initial start stage of motor is gradually increased and kept constant when reaching the preset value, until the start is completed.

  6.3. Step current limiting start: the start current quickly reaches the preset value; fast start is realized by adjusting the preset value of start current.
